The songs JAMES and Are you going with me stand the test of 36 years.
Once when I saw Phil Collins play this in concert a man had to be taken off on a stretcher for having an asthma attack before the drum fill on this song ever occurred. Enthusiasm taken to the limit, as when the Baltimore Ravens used this song as their psyche up song during the Ray Lewis era.

As Jim Deluva has said – most notably at The Edge’s 35 birthday concert – “When these guys are Roy Orbison’s age, they’ll realize how young they are *now*.” Now that Jim has dropped 20 pounds and still not finished the album he came here to complete in “secrecy”, he’s taken to the Jersey Shore lifestyle. He’d make me take that sentence out bc he’s kinda closer to the age Roy was when this song was played. Knowing James, he’d say, “rub it in man, what are you saying, I can’t finish this album bc of my perfectionism and my past success?” To this, I’d get a rhetorical speech that would just bring *me* unable to help him work. There is no better engineer, no better producer, even, than James Deluva when he is optimistic.
Happy birthday, Ringo Starr!

You are a source of inspiration for we drummers who don’t drink, married better wives than ourselves, yet have a lot of fun.
This song was easier to measure than I thought it would be. I wish we could all get up and grab smokes again!

The most energetic song I ever heard live by the Boss, Bruce Springsteen was in 1978. The song PROVE IT ALL NIGHT begins with a long piano solo by the professor in a style that can only be called “Roy”.
The band accelerates from there.
